Biography
Dr. James Ede is a toxicologist and risk assessor with extensive experience working with new technologies, including biobased and nanoscale materials. James has been working with Vireo Advisors since 2015, collaborating with industry and manufacturers of new technologies to address hazards and reduce risk. James has helped several manufacturers navigate regulatory authorizations for chemical, food, food-contact and medical applications in several markets including the United States, Canada, European Union, Japan and China. James works on several projects addressing sustainability and market strategies for emerging biobased materials, including work with the OECD, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the U.S. Department of Defense, and Health Canada. James is the former chair of the Society for Risk Analysis, Advanced Materials and Technologies Specialty Group.
