Biography
Prof. dr. Marleen Kamperman is Professor of Polymer Science at the University of Groningen, where her research focuses on bioinspired materials processing using complex coacervates as intermediates for controlled assembly in space and time. She develops polymer systems for the sustainable fabrication of fibers, adhesives, and biomedical materials. She obtained her PhD from Cornell University and held a postdoctoral position at Leibniz INM in Germany. Kamperman has received numerous grants and awards, including an ERC Consolidator Grant and NWO VENI, VIDI, and VICI grants, and is scientific director of the Health Technology Research & Innovation Cluster (HTRIC).
